Removing a Data Link
You can remove a data link from an item.
1. Click the item in the System file and then select > . A confirmation window opens.

In a diagram module, which includes Event Tree, FMEA, FTA, and RBD, right-clicking the item and selecting > also opens this window.

2. Click Yes. The data link button no longer appears above the right corner of the object.
Removing a data link from an item does not remove the calculation properties that were bought over. However, because the item is now independent, the previously linked properties are no longer checked for updates prior to running calculations. In a diagram module, you can double-click the object to make changes in its Calculation Properties window.
