Record Navigation Beam
When a table is active in the System file, the Record Navigation Beam is shown in the lower right corner of the Windchill Risk and Reliability window by default. You can use the Record Navigation Beam to access and insert records in the table.
• In the area that shows the current table row, type a row number to make it the active record.
• Click the arrow buttons to go to the first, previous, next, or last record in the table with a single click.
• Click the button with the asterisk (*) to quickly insert a new record at the end of the table.
The Record Navigation Beam is especially useful when a table has thousands of records. Assume that the active table has 10,000 records. Scrolling down through them by clicking in the scroll bar is a very inefficient method for getting to the last record. Using the Record Navigation Beam, you click the button to go to the last record. To go directly to record 5000, you type 5000 into the area where the current record row is shown and then press Enter.
| In the Options window, > controls whether the Record Navigation Beam is shown when a table is active in the System file. When this checkbox is selected (default), the Record Navigation Beam is shown. For more information, see General User Options. |
