Windchill Risk and Reliability Editions
Because an effective analysis platform has to be structured and implemented based on customer requirements, product characteristics, business objectives, and marketplace constraints, Windchill Risk and Reliability provides unparalleled customizing and flexibility for all analysis types. In addition, it leverages reliability and maintainability analysis by incorporating the computation of critical measures directly within the application. Windchill Risk and Reliability empowers you to optimize your established processes and increase the quality and reliability of your products.
Windchill Risk and Reliability is used to manage system designs, data entry, calculations, reporting, graphing, filtering, and custom system configurations. It consists of many software modules that are supported on different platforms by two separate Editions: Team and Enterprise.
The Team Edition supports one to five users and small systems. It stores data in Microsoft Jet Engine database files.
The Enterprise Edition supports a multitude of users and extremely large systems. It stores data in a Microsoft SQL Server 2017, 2017 Express, 2019, or 2019 Express database or in an Oracle 19c database. Because this Edition is built around a much more powerful database, it provides thousands of supplemental User fields for customizing the FMEA and FRACAS modules. In addition to offering Windchill Risk and Reliability for the desktop, the Enterprise Edition supports the four additional applications described in the following table.
Additional Enterprise Application
Description
Administrator
This integral application sets up and manages databases, groups, users, permissions, and global Start pages to provide centralized data administration and security. Information about using this application is available in its own help system. Many of these same administrative functions are also available in the version of the Administrator application that you can start from the web application.
Alert
This add-on application monitor databases continually and sends alerts via email messages when user-specified events occur. For more information, see Alerts (Enterprise Edition Only).
Audit Trail
This add-on application provides full audit support for tracking database modifications. For more information, see Audit Trails (Enterprise Edition Only).
Web Access
This add-on application allows users to perform FMEA, MSG-3, and FRACAS activities over the Internet. It also provides administrative functions to users who are logged in as system administrators. Information about using this web application is available in its own help system.
