Prediction Bayesian File Overview
A Prediction Bayesian file stores test and field data to use to adjust the base failure rate calculated by a model. When the 217Plus or PRISM model is licensed, you can create any number of Prediction Bayesian files. Unless a FIDES, IEC TR 62380, or RDF 2000 model is selected for the top-most assembly, you can enable these files for any assembly. When a Prediction Bayesian file is enabled, the test and field data in it is used to adjust the base failure rate calculated for the assembly.
The Prediction Bayesian file has two panes in which to supply test and field data. The following table describes these panes:
Pane
Description
Bayesian Data
Displays a table listing the field and test data collected for the assembly. For more information, see Bayesian Data Pane.
Bayesian Test Environment
Displays assembly-level fields for entering the data needed to convert the total test hours in accelerated conditions to an equivalent number of field hours under actual field stresses. This pane is available only when Compute Accelerated Hours is selected in the upper pane. For more information, see Bayesian Test Environment Pane.
