Insert Report Object Commands
Commands for inserting report objects in a Report Design file are found on the Insert menu and on the Insert Report Objects toolbar.
Insert Report Objects Toolbar
If the Insert Report Objects toolbar is not visible, you can quickly display it. In the toolbar area, right-click and select Insert Report Objects. Repeating this step switches between showing and hiding the toolbar. The Insert Report Objects toolbar is shown when a checkmark appears beside the entry for it on this shortcut menu.
In the Options window, Report and Form Designers > Create one object at a time controls insertion behavior for lines and blocks. For more information, see Specifying Object Insertion Behavior.
The following table lists object insertion commands in the order in which they are appear on the Insert menu. The buttons on the Insert Report Objects toolbar are shown as they appear when they are selected. For more information, see Inserting a Report Object.

Data Field
Insert Data Field (Ctrl+D)
Provides for inserting a data field using the Data Fields Toolbar. For more information, see Data Fields Toolbar.
Formula
Insert Formula
Provides for inserting a formula using the Formulas window. Formulas are special calculations that can be inserted in Report Design files and then computed when the report is generated. For more information, see Formula How-Tos.
Running Total
Insert Running Total
Provides for inserting a running total using the Running Totals window. Running totals are special calculations that are computed when a report is generated. A running total is a sum of the values for a numeric data field for all records up to and including the current record. For example, if the first three records have values of 2,4, and 6, the running total of these three records would be 2, 6, and 12, respectively. For more information, see Running Total How-Tos.
Label
Insert Label (Ctrl+L)
Provides for inserting a static text label. Labels are especially helpful when assigning custom titles and column headers.
Picture
Insert Picture
Provides for inserting an image from a graphic file. In a Report Design file, you might want to insert a company logo, product photo, or drawing. Supported choices for file types are:
Bitmap Files (*.bmp, *.dib)
Exif Files (*.exif)
GIF Files (*.gif)
JPEG Files (*.jpg)
PNG Files (*.png)
TIFF Files (*.tif)
Special Field

Provides for inserting a special field using the Special Fields window. You typically insert special fields in the Page Header or Page Footer.
File Property Field

Provides for inserting a file property field using the File Property Fields window.
Windchill Risk and Reliability Logo Field

Provides for inserting the Windchill Risk and Reliability logo.
Line
Insert Line
Provides for drawing vertical or horizontal lines of various styles and colors around selected areas to visually divide the report.
Box
Insert Box
Provides for drawing boxes of any size or color around selected areas to highlight information or visually divide the report.

You can use the Object Properties toolbar to modify certain properties of a report object. You can also use this toolbar to modify certain properties for diagram objects and form controls. For more information, see Object Property Commands.
