Comparing Two ALT Data Sets
In the Compare Data Sets window, you compare two calculated ALT data sets to see if one has a longer product life.
1. Ensure that the two data sets to compare are calculated.
2. Select ALT > Compare Data Sets. The Compare Data Sets window opens.
3. Complete this window, referring to the following table for option descriptions.
Option
Description
Data set 1
The first data set to include in the comparison.
Data set 2
The second data set to include in the comparison.
Set lower limit
Indicates whether to set a lower limit. When this checkbox is cleared (default), no limit is set. When it is selected, the field to the right becomes available so that you can enter a lower limit. The default is 0.
Set upper limit
Indicates whether to set an upper limit. When this checkbox is cleared (default), no limit is set. When it is selected, the field to the right becomes available so that you can enter an upper limit. The default is #,#, which means that no upper limit is set. The value that you enter must be greater than or equal to the lower limit or, if no lower limit is set, it must be greater than 0.
4. Click Compare to compare the data sets. The probability that the items in Data set 2 will outlive the items in Data set 1 is shown below Results.
5. When finished, click Close.
