Group Removal - Special Cases
When you clear a checkbox to remove a user from a Windchill Risk and Reliability group, a window opens in either of the following cases:
You attempted to remove the last group to which the user is assigned.
You attempted to remove the last user from the Administrators group.
In the first case, a window opens for confirming the removal of a user from the last group to which the user is assigned. The window indicates that users who are not assigned to a group are unable to log in to Windchill Risk and Reliability because they have no permissions. If you click the Clear All button in the Users pane in the Groups area, the window that opens lists all users who would be removed from their last assigned group, asking if you are sure you want to delete the last group from these users. If you click Yes, group assignment is removed.

For a user to be able to log in to a Windchill Risk and Reliability application, he or she must be assigned to a group. Consequently, if users are to continue to have access to Windchill Risk and Reliability applications, you should immediately assign all users removed from their last assigned group to another group.
In the second case, one of two windows opens, depending on the situation that would cause no users to be assigned to the Administrators group. One window indicates that you cannot remove all users from the group. The other window indicates that you cannot remove the active user from the group because this user is the only one assigned. Both windows explain that at least one user must belong to the Administrators group.
