When a parametric life data set or a warranty data set is selected in the LDA Navigator, Fixed? checkboxes appear under Calculation results in the Weibull Parameters pane. These checkboxes indicating whether parameter values are calculated or specified. Typically, a parameter’s Fixed? checkbox is cleared, which means that the data set is calculated. The number signs (#.#) that initially appear in the display-only result field are replaced with a calculated result. To specify a value to use for a parameter, you select Fixed? and then enter the value in the result field, which becomes available. If Fixed? is unavailable, that parameter cannot be specified.
