Simulate Steady State Results Technique
The procedure to simulate steady state results is basically the same as that described above, except that the simulation is continued until the occurrence of the specified number of failures.
When performing system optimizations, ia slightly different approach is used to simulate steady state results. The primary difference is that only one simulation run is performed, and this one run lasts for a very long time. The system is simulated for a required number of system failures, which is equivalent to the specified number of simulation iterations. All steady state measures are then calculated based on this simulation run.
