Linking a Phase to a Block Diagram
You must link each phase in a phase diagram to a block diagram that depicts the configuration and properties of the subsystems or components that operate in this phase. For example, you link Phase 1 to the block diagram that defines subsystem or component operation in Phase 1.
1. In the phase diagram, double-click the phase to open its Calculation Properties window.
2. For Diagram link, click the browse button. The Select Block Diagram window opens, listing all of the block diagrams that are inserted in the System file.
3. Select the block diagram to link to this phase and click OK. The diagram that you selected is now shown for Diagram link.
4. Click OK.

Any block in the linked diagram can be broken down further by setting a diagram link to a different diagram on the Links page in its Calculation Properties window. In this case, no Failure page is shown in its Calculation Properties window. This is because the failure information for this block is calculated from the blocks in its child diagram.
