Inserting a Library Block Diagram into a New RBD Block Diagram
You can use the Library Browse window to insert any block diagram that is stored in an RBD Diagram Library file into the System file as a new diagram. Using this insertion method is the same as copying a record in the RBD Table in one System file and pasting the record into the RBD Table in another System file. In this case, the Description field for the Library diagram is copied into the newly inserted diagram record in the System file.
1. In the System file, select the RBD Table to make it active.
2. If child folders are present, select the child folder in which to insert the record for the new diagram.
3. Select RBD > Browse Libraries. The Library Browse window opens in the pinned mode.
For more information about this auto-hide window, see Library Browse Window.
4. In its Search window, do the following:
a. For Search for, select RBD Diagrams.
b. Supply the search criteria to use. For more information, see RBD Diagrams Search Criteria.
If you do not enter any search criteria, when you initiate the search, all diagrams in enabled RBD Diagram Library files are retrieved and shown in the Results window.
c. To initiate the search, click Search or press Enter.
Search Button
Enabled RBD Diagram Library files are searched for diagram matches, and search results are shown in the Results window.
5. In its Results window, do the following:
a. Locate the Library diagram to insert as a new diagram in the System file and select the row containing this record.
b. In the Results window, click Insert.
The copy-and-paste procedure is performed. The Library Browse window remains open in case you want to insert additional library diagrams into the System file.
6. When you are finished inserting library diagrams into the System file, close the Library Browse window.
Once a library diagram is inserted in your System file, you may need to modify it to better reflect the operation of your system. For more information, see Block Diagram How-Tos.

In the Library Browse window, you can double-click any diagram listed in the Results window to insert it as a new diagram in the System file. Additionally, you can use the standard Windows drag-and-drop technique to insert a library diagram into the System file. In the Results window, click the row with the diagram and hold down the mouse button while dragging the mouse cursor over to the RBD Table in the System file. A diagram icon is attached to the mouse cursor. Release the mouse button over the Block Diagrams folder into which to insert the diagram to drop it into the RBD Table as a new diagram record.
