General Page
The
General page in the
View Calculation Results window displays system level results based on the properties specified on the
General page under
RBD in the
Calculate window at the time when RBD calculations were run. For more information, see
General Page.
At the top of the General page, steady state results and the results for the point in time specified in the Calculate window are shown.
Under Steady state results on the left, the calculation method, which is either analytical or Monte Carlo simulation, is indicated. The computation of values other than reliability and availability do not affect the determination of the calculation method. If reliability and availability are analytically computed, the calculation method is considered to be analytical, even if other portions of the calculations had to be simulated.
If any problem exists with performing the calculation, it is noted beneath the calculation method:
If reliability or availability must be calculated using simulation, the number of iterations completed is noted.
If all availabilities are operational availabilities, this is noted as well.
Additionally, if confidence levels are used when calculating MTBF, MTTF, reliability, or availability, the levels specified are shown.
The final item under Steady state results notes whether reliability accounts for repairs.
If no repairable components are present in the diagram, this is noted instead.
If an RBD Simulation Log is generated, a View simulation log link is shown. Clicking it opens this log.
The RBD Simulation Log is generated only if
Record simulation log for first iteration of availability measures was selected and results were calculated using simulation. Selecting
Force Monte Carlo simulation in the RBD calculation properties ensures that simulation is used. Both of these checkboxes are shown on the Advanced page under
RBD in the
Calculate window. For more information, see
Advanced Page.
Under
Results at time on the right,
Display results for blocks at time indicates the time specified for results on the
General page. For more information, see
General Page.
The lower table displays results for specific time points, which are based on the value specified for Number of data points on the General page.
| If you click Stop in the Calculation Progress window when calculations are running, the simulation is stopped at the current iteration and the results obtained until then are written out. This means that partial results may be written out for some iterations, and some time point results may be based on a larger number of iterations than others. |
