1. Create the Prediction Values Library file and insert the custom environments and quality levels that are necessary.

You create and open a Prediction Values Library file in the same manner as any other file. You then insert the custom environments and quality levels that are necessary. For more information, see Inserting a Prediction Values Definition.

2. Specify the order in which to search enabled Prediction Values Library files.
|
You specify the order in which to search Prediction Values Library files in the pane associated with the heading for this file type in the Project properties. For more information, see Setting the Search Order for System and Library Files.

3. In Prediction panes, select custom environments and quality level as needed.
|
Based on the information in the enabled Prediction Values Library files, you can select custom environments and quality levels in your System file as needed.
• Custom environments can be selected for Environment in the assembly’s Calculation pane. For more information, see Calculation Data Pane.
• Custom quality levels can be selected for Quality Level when it appears in the part’s Prediction Data pane. For more information, see Prediction Data Pane.

4. Calculate prediction results.

You run prediction calculations by clicking Calculate on the standard toolbar or by selecting > . For more information, see Calculating Prediction Results. The Prediction Process Grade files that are enabled are used to adjust the base failure rates that are calculated for assemblies.
