Repairable System Method
The following form is shown in the Allocation pane for an assembly when Repairable System is selected for Allocation method under Prediction in the System file properties.
The following table describes the data fields in the Allocation pane for the repairable system method. Field availability depends on selections made in various fields. For more information, see Repairable System Allocation Method Calculations.

Allocation action | The way in which availability is allocated. Choices are: • Specify Goal — When selected, the desired availability for the system or subsystem is entered. Availability, allocated becomes available so that you can enter the goal for the parent assembly. • Perform Allocation — When selected, availability is allocated equally for all subsystems. This choice is invalid for the top-most assembly. |
Availability, allocated | The availability goal for the parent assembly, which is generally the top-most assembly (system). |
MTTR specified | MTTF values are obtained for the subsystem from the MTTR column in the System Tree Items table. Only specified MTTR values are used to compute failure rate allocations. |
