Prediction FIDES Lead Free Factor File Overview
A Prediction FIDES Lead Free Factor file contains a calculated Pi lead free factor that a FIDES 2009 model uses to support reliability modeling of lead free assemblies. In a Prediction FIDES Lead Free Factor file, you must answer one question set.
When a FIDES 2009 model is selected for the top-most assembly, you can enable a Prediction FIDES Lead Free Factor file at the assembly level.
• If you select a Prediction FIDES Lead Free Factor file for the top-most assembly, it is inherited by all lower-level assemblies. You then need only to specify override selections for these assemblies.
• If a Prediction FIDES Lead Free Factor file is not inherited or specified for an assembly, no lead-free calculations run for this assembly. Consequently, no Pi lead free factor is used in its prediction calculations.
