Hybrid Integrated Circuits for 299 Models
As described in
Hybrid Parts Supported by 299 Models, the 299B and 299C models support hybrid calculations for only some part subcategories of integrated circuits. Hybrid calculations are supported for the following integrated circuits subcategories:
• EEPROM
• Linear
• Logic, CGA or ASIC
• Memory
• Microprocessor
• PAL, PLA
The failure rates for the hybrid integrated circuits are calculated in the same manner as non-hybrid integrated circuits. Differences in the Π (Pi) factors used for hybrid integrated circuits are:
• Π T is defined as the case temperature at 35 degrees C.
• Π L is defined as 1.
• Π E is defined as 1.
Unsupported hybrid integrated circuit subcategories are assigned a failure rate of zero. Unsupported hybrid integrated circuit subcategories include:
• Bubble Memory
• Custom
• GaAs Digital
• GaAs MMIC
• SAW - Surface Acoustic Wave
• SHSIC//VLSI CMOS
