Under Prediction in the Project properties, Show derating fields on the Part Data form controls whether derating fields appear in the Prediction Data pane in the System file, Prediction Parts Library files, and the Project’s Prediction Defaults file. When this checkbox is selected (default), derating fields are shown. When it is cleared, derating fields are not shown. For more information, see Prediction Project Properties.

When derating fields are shown in the Prediction Data pane, they appear in the Derating Parameters box. The parameters that you enter in this box define the standard derating curve for the part. These values are then used with the derating limits specified for the part to perform a derating calculation for it.
