Changing an Assembly to a Part
You can change an assembly that has no child items to a part. If the assembly is the parent item for a part or is the parent item for a subassembly with a part, you cannot use the
Change Assembly to Part command to change it to a part. This command is supported in all modules that use the
System Tree Items table. It is available when this table is active. However, it is unavailable if this table is filtered to show only assemblies. For more information, see
Showing Only Assemblies in the System Tree.
1. In the System Tree Items table, select the assembly.
2. Select > . After the assembly changes to a part, the System Tree is refreshed. The new part appears at the end of the list of parts found at the same level.
