Inserting Styles in a Markov Style Library File
You can insert styles in a Markov Style Library file for states, transitions, and labels. As indicated in Markov Style Library File Overview, the object styles in enabled Markov Style Library files supplement or override the styles in the read-only master Markov Style Library file.
1. Open or create the Markov Style Library file. You open or create this file in the same way as another other file.
2. For each custom style to insert, do the following:
a. In the Markov Styles pane, for Style type, select the type of object for which to insert styles. All existing styles for this object are shown in the table.
b. In the last table row, click <Click here to insert a new record>.
A new style is inserted in the table. The default name assigned to this style is the object type selected for Style type.
For example, if State styles is selected, the default name is State Style. If a style with this name already exists, the default name is State Style(X), where (X) is the next available numeric value.
c. Complete the options in the table. For more information, see Markov Styles Pane.
d. In the Markov Style Definition pane, click Edit Style. The Properties window opens, displaying the visual properties for the selected style.
The visual properties for the style are basically the same as those for the object itself. For more information, see Markov Object Visual Property Windows.
e. In this Properties window, make the necessary modifications and, when finished, click OK.
The Preview area in the Markov Style Definition pane is also updated.
3. When finished inserting styles, click the X to close the file.
