Alternative and Time Interval Calculations
If you use a combination of design alternatives and time intervals, you can factor in inflation rates to analyze the cost of these alternatives over time. When you use both alternatives and time intervals in LCC calculations, the number of times the equation is run for each item in the CBS is:
Number of Alternatives * Number of Time Intervals
The cost values for parent items in the CBS are equal to the result of the parent equation plus the results of all the children.
