Turning Fault Tree Paging Off and On
While transfer gates make managing large fault trees easier, it is oftentimes desirable to view all of the logic for a large tree on a single page. To switch between turning paging off and on, do the following:
Select FTA > Disable Paging.
When paging is turned on (default), no checkmark appears to the left of the Disable Paging command. All transfer-in gates inserted in the tree are linked to transfer-out gates on other pages.
When paging is turned off, a checkmark appears to the left of the Disable Paging command. All transfer-in gates in the tree are expanded to include lower level gates and events.
You cannot insert new transfer-in gates in a tree when paging is turned off because they are no longer a valid gate type. To insert a new transfer-in gate, you must first turn paging back on.
If various transfer-in gates go to the same transfer-out gate, you cannot turn paging off. When you select Disable Paging, a window opens, indicating that paging cannot be disabled because the transfer gate exists more than once.
