Copying and Pasting Branches Between System Files in Different Projects
You cannot copy and paste fault tree branches in a System file in one Project into a System file in another Project. However, if you copy the System files into the same Project, you can copy and paste branches between them.
1. Open one of the Projects in the Project Properties window. For more information, see Opening a Project in the Project Properties Window.
The Project Properties pane displays the name of the Project and all files in the Project.
2. Right-click in an empty area of the Project Properties pane and select Copy Files from Another Project. The Copy Files from Project wizard starts and displays the Source Project Location page.
3. Select the My Projects option and click Next. The Select Project page appears.
4. Select the Project with the other System file. You can use the browse button on this page to add a Project from another directory. Once the Project is selected, click Next. The Select Files page appears.
5. Select the checkbox for the System file with the fault tree and click Next. The Overwrite Table Format Files page appears.
Typically you do not want to overwrite the Table Format files in the open Project with those for the Project in which this System file is found. If, however, you do want to overwrite any of these files, you must select the checkboxes for them on this page.
6. Make any overwrite selections and click Next. The final page of the Copy from Project Wizard appears.
7. Click Finish. Once this System file is copied into the Open Project, a window opens to indicate that this process is complete.
8. Click OK to close the window.
9. Copy and paste tree branches between these two System files. For more information, see Copying and Pasting Branches Between Fault Trees in Different System Files.
