Process events in
The options under this heading indicate the event data to process.

All diagrams
|
When selected (default), event data is processed for all trees in the file.
|
||
Selected diagram
|
When selected, event data is processed for events in only the active tree.
|
||
Update type
The options under this heading indicate the type of update to perform. You can exchange event data between System files, FTA Diagram Library files, and FTA Event Library files.

Create new Event Library
|
When selected (default), events are inserted in a new FTA Event Library file. For Event Library, you specify the name to assign to this new file.
|
||
Update existing Event Library
|
When selected, events are updated in or added to the FTA Event Library file specified for Event Library. The choice you make under Library update options affects how duplicate identifiers are handled.

||
Update current file
|
When selected, the FTA Event Library file specified for Event Library is searched using the library identifier for the event in the file. When a match is found, the event is updated to reflect the data for the library event.

||
Event Library
|
The FTA Event Library file to create or use in an update. When either update option is selected, a <Select file...> label is shown if you must select the file to update. Clicking the browse button for this field opens a selection window. Choices include all enabled FTA Event Library files. For more information, see Event Library File Selection Window.

Library update options
The single option under this heading indicates how to handle duplicate identifiers when updating or adding events in an existing FTA Event Library file.

When a duplicate Identifier is encountered
|
Indicates the action to take if the identifier for a library event matches the library identifier for an event in the file. Choices are:
• Update the record in the library. When selected (default), the record is updated.
• Create a new record in the library with a unique identifier. When selected, a new record with a unique identifier is created.
• Do not add a new record or update the existing record in the library. When selected, no action is taken for this record.
