Setting Properties for a FMEA Worksheet Cell
You can set visual properties for each cell in the FMEA Worksheet table.
1. Right-click the cell and select Cell Properties. The Cell Properties window opens.
2. Set the visual properties you want for this cell, referring to the following table for descriptions.
Property
Description
Display checkmark
Indicates whether to display a red checkmark in the cell. When this checkbox is selected, a checkmark is shown. You can use this checkmark to flag a cell for whatever purpose you want.
Cell notes
When you enter text in this property, a note icon appears in the cell. No limit exists on the amount of text you can enter.
When you place the mouse cursor over the note icon in the FMEA Worksheet cell, this text appears as a tooltip. While no limit exists on the amount of text you can enter, tooltips do not provide for scrolling. Consequently, a note that does not fit in the available display area for the tooltip is truncated.
Text color
The color for any text shown in the cell. The default is Automatic (black).
*
For this property and the next one, you can use the color control to select a different color. For more information, see Using the Color Control.
Background color
The background color for the cell. The default is Automatic (white).
Change font
Indicates whether to change the font for the text shown in the cell. When this checkbox is cleared (default), the font specified for Table font under Fonts in the Options window is used. For more information, see Fonts User Options. The name and size of the font in use is shown to the right of the Font button. When this checkbox is selected, this button is available. Clicking it causes the Font window that is shown by the font control to open. For more information, see Using the Font Control. Once you make any font changes and click OK, the font information to the right of the button is updated.
3. When finished, click OK. The selected cell is updated in the FMEA Worksheet table.
