When Multiple Actions is selected for the data structure in the Project’s FMEA Design file, each mode can have multiple causes and multiple effects. Additionally, each cause can have multiple actions. When you insert the cause, the initial action for the cause is inserted. However, you can insert any number of additional child actions for this cause.
1. In the FMEA Worksheet table, select the cause for which to insert an additional action.
2. Insert an action using one of the following methods:
◦ Select > .
◦ Right-click the cause in the FMEA Worksheet table and select Insert Action.
◦ In the title bar of the FMEA Worksheet table, or on the Insert FMEA Items toolbar, click the button for inserting a new action.
The action is inserted.
3. Complete the fields for the action.
