Associated Attributes Window
In the Enterprise Edition, when a System file is created from a Windchill product, global attributes for Windchill parts are copied into the Global Attributes table. This special table is then shown in the first pane in the lower window of the System file if you have a Windchill integration license for CTQ (critical to quality) characteristic management. For more information, see Managing Global Attribute Data.
In the FMEA Control Plans table and FMEA DVPs table, you can use the special Associated Attributes field to add and remove associations with Global Attributes records. This special field displays the number of attributes that are currently associated with the active control plan or DVP. If Associated Attributes is not already present in these two FMEA tables, you can use the Format Builder to insert it.
When you click Associated Attributes for a record, a browse button becomes available. Clicking the browse button opens the Associated Attributes window. where you can indicate the attributes to associate with the record.
The table in this window contains all fields in the special Global Attributes table. There are no merged cells or tree structure. All attributes in the Global Attributes table are shown in a flat list so that you can specify which you want to associate with the record. The first column, which is always Associated, contains a checkbox that indicates if the attribute is associated with the record.
When the checkbox is selected, the attribute is associated.
When the checkbox is cleared, the attribute is not associated.
You can click Select All or Clear All to select or clear all checkboxes and then customize your selections from there. When this window opens, all attributes that are already associated with the record appear above attributes that are not associated with it.
You can use the filter bar to limit the attributes shown. Additionally, at the top of this window, you can use the filter selection control to apply an existing filter for the Global Attributes table to this table. You can also click the button for the Filter Wizard to create and apply a new filter.
