Viewing and Modifying Page Setup Properties
When a Report Design file is open in the Report Designer, you can view and modify its page properties. Changing these properties changes the work area in the Report Designer accordingly. This means that you typically have to modify the layout of the report to use the new page appropriately.
*
In the Options window, General > Report paper size indicates whether the default paper size for reports is either Letter or A4. For more information, see General User Options.
1. Select File > Page Setup. The Page Setup window opens.
2. For Size, select the paper size for the report. The choices available depend on the default printer.
3. For Source, select the paper tray to use.
4. For Orientation, select Portrait or Landscape.
5. Under the Margins heading, enter values for the left, right, top, and bottom margins. The units for margins are shown in parentheses to the right of the heading.
In the Options window, Report and Form Designer > Measurement system specifies whether the units are inches or centimeters. For more information, see Report and Form Designers User Options.
6. When finished, click OK. The area in which to layout the report is adjusted in the Report Design file.
7. To accommodate the newly specified page size, make any necessary changes to the report layout.
For example, you might need to reposition titles, data fields, labels, boxes, and lines. You might also want to resize Graphical Diagram fields to fill the layout area.
8. When finished, select File > Save.
