Using Team File Commands in the Enterprise Edition
Team File commands are available on the File menu in the Enterprise Edition so that you can open and create local Team files. No special permissions are required to open or create Team files.
Several reasons exist for why you might want to open or create Team files in the Enterprise Edition. For example, you might want to perform some preliminary design analysis outside of the Enterprise database. Or, you might want to open one of the Team Projects in the Samples folder on the application server. For more information, see:
While you cannot use Team files with Enterprise database Projects, if a particular Team file is applicable to a database Project, a system administrator or designated Project administrator can copy it into an Enterprise Project from the Project Properties window. For more information, see Copying a Team File into a Project.
For added flexibility, a system administrator or designated Project administrator can copy files in an Enterprise Project to a Team Project. However, because of the thousands of additional User fields in an Enterprise Project, you cannot open the Team Project that is created until you copy it into a new Enterprise Project. For more information, see Copying an Enterprise Project to a Team Project.
