Using the Import Wizard or Export Wizard to Load and Modify a Predefined Import or Export
If the settings for performing a custom import or export have been saved to an Import/Export Template file, you can load this file in the appropriate wizard and then quickly customize these settings prior to performing the import or export on the current data in the open System file.
1. In the open System file, select either Tools > Import Wizard or Tools > Export Wizard, depending on the task to perform. The wizard starts and displays the Load Template page.
Either Perform a custom import or Perform a custom export is selected by default.
2. Select Load an existing template. The field for selecting the Import/Export Template file becomes available.
A < Select file... > label appears in this field to indicate that only Import/Export Template files in the Project can be selected.
3. Use the browse button for this field to select the Import/Export Template file. For more information, see Selecting or Creating a File Using a Selection Window.
After the Import/Export Template file is selected, the name of this file is shown in the field on the Load Template page.
4. Click Next to move through the subsequent wizard pages, making any necessary changes to the options on these pages. On the Save Template plate, the new settings can be saved to an existing or new Import/Export Template file.
5. When you reach the final page of the wizard, click Finish to perform the import or export.
