Starting Windchill Risk and Reliability
To start Windchill Risk and Reliability, you use any of the standard Windows methods. The most common method is to double-click the Windchill Risk and Reliability shortcut that was created on your desktop during the installation.
Another Windows method for starting a program includes using the Start menu.
From the Windows Start menu, select [All] Programs > Windchill Risk and Reliability 12.0.0.0 > Windchill Risk and Reliability 12.0.0.0.
Before the Enterprise Edition can start, you must complete the Log In to PTC Windchill Risk and Reliability window. For more information, see Logging In to the Enterprise Edition.
If you have multiple modules licensed, once Windchill Risk and Reliability starts, the Module Selection window opens so that you can choose the modules you want to use. For more information, see Product Module Selections. Once module selections are made, the Start page appears. For more information, see Start Page Window.
After reviewing the procedures in Getting Started How-Tos, you should review the procedures in General File How-Tos.
To exit Windchill Risk and Reliability, you perform the procedure described in Exiting Windchill Risk and Reliability. In the Team Edition, prior to exiting, a check is performed to see if a monthly update is ready for installation. However, in the Enterprise Edition, a system administrator must manually download the monthly update to the Windchill Risk and Reliability application server.
