Settings Page
The Settings page provides information about the email account to use to send workflow messages. By default, the same account set up in the desktop version of the Administrator application used. You must clear Use email settings configured in the Administrator module to specify settings for a different email account.The following table describes the properties on the Settings page.

Use email settings configured in the Administrator module
Indicates whether to use the same email account settings set up in the Administrator application to send workflow messages. When this checkbox is selected, the same account is used and other properties, User name, Password, Email address, Mail server, are disabled. When this checkbox is cleared, a different account is used. The other properties on this page and the Authentication page are made available so that you can specify settings.
User name
The name for the user account that is to send email messages. This user must have an email account. In subsequent properties, you enter both the email address and mail server for this user account.
Password
The password for the user account.
Email address
The email address for the user account. The format is username@domain.
Mail server
The mail server from which to send the email.
Provides for testing the specified settings to verify that they connect to the mail server.
Send email over TLS
Allows user to send emails via TLS.

The security feature enhancement requires resetting of email settings in the Alerts and workflow email settings for every project. As a best practice, PTC recommends using the Send email over TLS option to send emails securely.
