RBD User Options
The following table describes the user options that appear under RBD in the Options window.
Option
Description
Default link source module
Indicates whether to link data from the Prediction or FRACAS module to a block that is created by either copying and pasting or dragging and dropping a System Tree Items record into the block diagram. This option applies only if the System file contains both the Prediction and FRACAS modules. If only one of these modules is included, it is used as the link source, regardless of the choice selected here. Choices are:
Ask — When selected (default), the Specify Source Module window opens when an assembly or part in the System Tree Items table is pasted or dropped into a block diagram to create a new block. To indicate the module to which to link this block, you select Prediction or FRACAS and then click OK. For more information, see Specify Source Module Window.
Prediction — When selected, the newly created block is linked to Prediction fields.
FRACAS — When selected, the newly created block is linked to FRACAS fields.
For more information about data links, see Data Links.
Show save message when clicking file links
Indicates whether to open the window for saving property changes to an RBD block when you click the View Spares Files or View Repair Resources File link to open one of these support files from a block’s Calculation Properties window. When this checkbox is selected, the window opens, asking whether or not to save changes. When it is cleared, the window does not open. Changes are saved and then the support file is opened. Clearing this checkbox is equivalent to selecting Save the changes. Do not show this message again in the window. For more information, see Saving Property Changes.
Spares display order
Indicates how to show choices for Spares Pool, which appears on the Spares page in the Calculation Properties window for a block. For more information, see Spares Page. Additionally, this field can be inserted in the RBD Blocks table in the System file. For more information, see RBD Blocks Pane. Choices for display order are:
Alphabetically — When selected, spares pools appear alphabetically based on the names assigned to them in the Project’s RBD Spares file. For more information, see RBD Spares Files.
Entry Order — When selected, spares pools appear in the order in which they were inserted in the RBD Spares file.
