Pinning and Unpinning an Auto-Hide Window
When an auto-hide window is operating in auto-hide mode, an auto-hide pushpin button is shown in the upper right corner of its title bar.
Auto-Hide Pushpin Button
If you right-click the auto-hide pushpin button, a checkmark appears to the left of the Auto-Hide command on the shortcut menu to indicate its current configuration.
To keep this window in view, you pin it in place, which is the equivalent of operating it in docking mode.
To pin the window in place, click the auto-hide pushpin button. The docking pushpin button is then shown in the upper right corner of its title bar.
Docking Pushpin Button
If you right-click the docking pushpin button, a checkmark appears to the left of the Docking command on the shortcut menu to indicate as its configuration.
A pinned window remains in view until you unpin it or close it. When you unpin the window, it returns to operating in auto-hide mode.
To unpin the window, click the docking pushpin button. The auto-hide pushpin button is then shown in the upper right corner of its title.
Once the window is operating in auto-hide mode, moving the mouse cursor off of the it or clicking in a different window slides the window out of view.
