Functions Page
In the Edit Formula window, the Functions page provides for selecting the function to insert in the formula. The predefined functions that can be inserted in the formula are divided into three categories. Once you select the category for Function type, you double-click or use the standard Windows drag-and-drop technique to insert the function in the formula. The following table describes the three different choices that you can select for Function type. For more information, see Inserting a Formula.

Data Field
When selected (default), functions for performing operations on data fields are listed in the area below. For more information, see Data Field Functions.
Mathematical
When selected, functions for performing mathematical operations on data fields are listed in the area below. For more information, see Mathematical Functions.
User Defined
When selected, user-defined formulas that you can use within other user-defined formulas are listed in the area below. For more information, see User-Defined Formulas.
