FMEA Worksheet Table Exception
In the FMEA Worksheet table, which is described in FMEA Worksheet Table, the FMEA field used in the aggregate function can be any field at a lower level than the FMEA result field, regardless of the number of levels between them. In other words, any lower-level field can be aggregated into any higher-level field. The following examples assume that the hierarchical FMEA structure is item/mode/cause/effect:
If the calculation result field is at the item level, then the field used in the function can be at the mode, cause, or effect level.
If the calculation result field is at the mode level, then the field used in the function can be at the cause or effect level.
If the calculation result field is at the cause level, then the field used in the function can be at the effect level.
If the calculation result field is at the effect level, then none of the functions are applicable.
