The following table describes the user options that appears under FMEA in the Options window.
Option
Description
Build Fault Equivalence file duplicate key handling
Specifies what to do if duplicate keys are encountered when building a FMEA Fault Equivalence file from FMEA data in a System file. Choices are:
Ignore Duplicate Keys — When selected (default), duplicate keys are ignored. The FMEA data initially saved for the key is not overwritten.
Overwrite Duplicate Keys — When selected, the previously saved FMEA data for the key is overwritten with the FMEA data for the duplicate key.
Prompt on Each Duplicate Key — When selected, the Duplicate Key window opens when a duplicate key is encountered so that you can specify the key for the FMEA data to save. For more information, see Duplicate Key Window.
Show the FMEA level for each FMEA field
Indicates whether to show the FMEA data level in parentheses after the field prompt. When this checkbox is cleared (default), the data level is not shown. When this checkbox is selected, the data level is shown. The data level is shown not only after the field prompt but also in the columns of the FMEA Worksheet table, in wizard selection lists for FMEA fields, and in the Project’s Calculation and Data Definition files. The data level is not shown after the field prompt in the FMEA Design file, in files in the Common Library when no Project is open, or in your My Filter file when no Project is open.
