File Search Order Pane
The File Search Order pane specifies the order in which to search files for text string matches. When the System heading or a library file heading is selected in the left pane of the Project Properties window, the File Search Order pane is shown. For example, when FMEA Modes Library is selected, the File Search Order pane displays the FMA Modes Library files in the Project and in the Common Library.
The File Search Order pane displays two lists.
The upper list displays the files of this type that have been created in the Project.
The lower list displays Common Library files of this type that have been enabled in the Project. You enabled these files in the Common Library pane. For more information, see Common Library Pane for Common Library Files.
When searching files for a text string, the files in the Project are first searched in the order specified in the upper list. If a search string match is not found in files in the Project, enabled Common Library files are then searched in the order specified in the lower list.
To reorder the files shown in either list, you can use the arrow buttons to the right of the list or the standard Windows drag-and-drop technique. The following table describes these buttons. For more information, see Setting the Search Order for System and Library Files.
