Enable multithreaded calculations
Indicates whether to turn on multithreaded calculations so that some FTA and RBD calculations can take advantage of them. When this checkbox is selected (default), multithreaded calculations are turned on.
Maximum number of parallel calculation threads
Specifies the maximum number of concurrent threads that can simultaneously work on a calculation. Choices are:
• Use my computer’s maximum — When selected (default), the maximum number of processors in the machine is used as the maximum number of threads. For example, if you have four processors in your machine, four threads are used. If you have one hyper-threaded processor in your machine, two threads can be used. When you click this option, the field to the right of Use this value shows the number of processors in the machine.
• Use this value — When selected, the field to the right becomes available so that you can enter the maximum number of concurrent threads to use. The default in this field is 2. The value cannot be less than 1 or more than the number of processors in the machine.
