Directories User Options
The following table describes the user options that appear under Directories in the Options window. In the Enterprise Edition, Attachments directory and Parts Library Update directory are not shown. These two options, and an Audit Trail files directory option, are globally specified for all users by an administrator in the Options window for the Administrator application.
Option
Description
Attachments directory
The location of the folder in which you want to store attachments. When this option is blank (default), attachments are stored in the standard Attachments folder for your Edition. For more information, see Inserting and Modifying Attachments. You specify a path here only if you want to store attachments in a different directory.
*
Any pre-existing attachments in the standard Attachments folder are not automatically transferred to the directory you specify here. Unless you manually move pre-existing attachments to this directory, attempting to open them causes error messages to display.
Common Library Project directory
The location of the folder for the Common Library to use with Team Projects. When this option is blank (default), the Common Library for Team Projects is in the My Windchill Risk and Reliability Files folder for the current installation. You specify a path here only if you move the Common Library for Team Projects to a different location. The Common Library for Enterprise Projects is always in the Enterprise database. For more information, see Common Library.
Data files directory
The location of the folder for the Team files that you have created. When this option is blank (default), Team files are stored in the My Windchill Risk and Reliability Files folder for the current installation. You specify a path here only if you store Team files in a different location.
Parts Library Update directory
The location of the folder for new versions of supplied Prediction Parts Library files. On startup, Windchill Risk and Reliability searches the Libs folder on the application server for newer versions of these supplied files. You specify a path here only if you store these files in a different location.
