Deleting a System Tree Item
Using the row selector, which is the block to the left of the row, you can delete an assembly or part from the System Tree Items table by doing one of the following:
Right-click the row selector and select Delete Records.
Select the row selector and press Delete.
Select the row selector and then select Edit > Delete Records.

To prevent any accidental data loss, a confirmation window opens. Because deleting an item also deletes all of its children, this window indicates if the selected item has children. When you click Yes to continue, if this item has children, a second window opens for confirming their deletion. This is to remind you that deleting the parent item also deletes its child items. For example, deleting an assembly or part also deletes any incidents, operating time records, and maintenance logs associated with it. You must click Yes in this window to delete the parent item and all of its children.
