Checking for Duplicate Shortcut Keys
When a Form Design file is open in the Form Designer, you can check to see whether any fields use the same shortcut keys. Shortcut keys are assigned on the General page in the Text Properties window for the field label.
1. If the Form Design file is not already open, then open it.
2. To check for duplicate shortcut keys, do one of the following:
Select Layout Check Shortcut Keys.
Right click and select Check Shortcut Keys.
A window opens, indicating whether duplicate shortcut keys have been found.
If none are found, click OK to close this window,
If some are found, click Yes to have the controls with duplicate shortcut keys selected in the Form Design file.
3. To change a shortcut key assignment, double-click the label control to open its Text Properties window.
4. On the General page, select Specify field label, which makes Label available. The ampersand (&) precedes the letter that is assigned as the shortcut key.
5. Delete the ampersand (&).
6. To specify the new shortcut key, position the cursor prior to the letter to use as the shortcut key and then press Shift+7 to insert an ampersand.
7. Click OK.
8. When finished, close the file.
