Additional FRACAS Features
Windchill FRACAS includes a number of features and functions. A brief listing of other topics of interest is shown below. For more information, see the help or guide for Windchill Risk and Reliability.
• You can run MTBF calculations using your actual incident data. If you track the operational time of your system, the FRACAS module can run a wide variety of MTBF calculations, which you can customize even further by applying filters.
• You can use the “on-the-fly” Format Builder to modify FRACAS tables with a simple right-click.
• You can import FRACAS data using the Import Wizard. This feature enables you to directly populate your FRACAS data with incident data collected from other sources.
• In the Enterprise Edition, you can also:
◦ Use a customized workflow process so that when an incident moves from one process state to another an email message is automatically sent to the appropriate personnel, notifying them of the update.
◦ Use the Alerts application to send customized notifications to system users based on criteria you define.
Use the Audit Trail application to track data modifications for audit requirements.
◦ Create Projects from PTC Windchill PDMLink/MPMLink products, where you can visually distinguish hardware and software elements in the system tree.
◦ Associate a FRACAS incident with an existing PTC Windchill CAPA or change management object or manually create and delete associations.
