The Test LDAP Settings window displays the connection settings you specified for the LDAP server as well as authentication and test results. This window opens when you click Test Settings in the right pane of the LDAP Settings area. For more information, see Connecting to an LDAP Server.

If Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is selected for encryption and the certificate cannot be verified, a message indicates this. It also indicates that you can select the Ignore certificate errors checkbox to bypass security in a test environment but doing this is not recommended for production use. When this checkbox is selected, a warning message indicates that you are bypassing SSL security and that this should only be done in test environments.
