Start Pages Panes
When the Start Pages area is selected, the left side contains the Start Pages pane, and the right side contains two tabbed panes: Design and Groups. On this side, you click a tab to make the pane active.
You use the Start Pages area to insert and set up global Start page that you then assign to one or more user groups. The following table describes the panes in this area.
Pane
Description
Start Pages
Displays all existing global Start pages and provides for inserting new and deleting old ones.
Design
Displays Content and Layout tabs, which you use to set up the Start page selected in the Start Pages pane. On the Content tab, you insert the controls for the page. On the Layout tab, you specify the layout for the page. You set up global pages in the same way as you set up personal Start pages in the desktop application. For more information, refer to the guide or help for these applications.
Groups
Displays the groups to which the selected Start page is assigned. While a global Start page can be assigned to multiple groups, a group can be assigned only one global Start page. The group’s global Start page is always the first one listed in the Start Page window when group members start the desktop application.
