Logging in to Windchill Risk and Reliability Administrator
Upon starting, Windchill Risk and Reliability Administrator displays the Log In to Administrator window, where you must provide log-in information. If you did not want to log in to this application, you would click Quit.
1. Complete the Log In to Administrator window.
Option
Description
User name
The user name assigned to the system administrator account. If this is the very first time that someone is attempting to log in to the Administrator application, see Initial Log-in Information.
Password
The password for the system administrator account. All passwords are case-sensitive.
Remember my log-in information
If selected, your user name and password are remembered for subsequent log-ins. The next time you start the Administrator application and this window opens, you need only to click OK to log in to it successfully.
Cancel
When this button is clicked, the attempt to log in is cancelled.
2. When finished, click OK. The Administrator application validates the entered user name and password against log-in information stored in the Windchill Risk and Reliability database. Providing that the information is authenticated, the application starts.
In the Options window in the Administrator application, General > Lock user account after X successive login failures is a global user option. If it has been set to three, four, or five unsuccessful login attempts, an error message indicates your account is locked if the maximum number of successive login failures has been exceeded. When you click OK to acknowledge this message, the Administrator application closes.
Another global user option, General > Re-enable locked user account after X minutes, determines whether a locked account is unlocked after some specified number of minutes has elapsed. If the default value of 0 is still specified, you must ask your system administrator to unlock your account manually. If a system administrator account ever becomes locked, it is unlocked in either the specified number of minutes or in 30 minutes if automatic unlocking is not enabled.
