Inserting a User Using an Insert Command
You can insert a new Windchill Risk and Reliability user in the Users area using an Insert command.
1. If the Users area is not active, click the Users icon in the shortcut bar.
2. In the Users pane, do one of the following:
Click the < Click here to insert a new record > command at the end of the list.
Right-click and select Insert User.
Select Insert > User.
The Create User window opens.
3. For User name, enter the unique name to assign to the user.
4. For Group, select the group to which the user is to belong. The default is the first group in the alphabetized list.
After the user is inserted, you can assign the users to multiple groups using the Member of Groups list in the User Information pane.
5. For Password, enter a unique and secure password for the user and confirm it in Verify password.
6. When finished, click OK. The user is inserted at the end of the list in the Users pane.
7. In the User Information pane, enter account information for this new user. For more information, see User Information Pane.

You can select and modify the name of a user in the Users pane. Or, you can modify the value for User name in the User Information pane. The User Information pane displays the account information for the user selected in the Users pane. If you change the value for User name, the name in the Users pane is not updated until you leave the User Information pane.
