Importing User and Group Data
You can generate user and group reports as worksheets in a Microsoft Excel file as described in the previous topic. You can then import the user and group data in this file into a new Windchill Risk and Reliability installation. However, this data must be for the same version as the new installation. In other words, you can import user and group reports generated from Windchill Risk and Reliability 12.0.1.0 into only a new installation of Windchill Risk and Reliability 12.0.1.0. You cannot import user and group reports generated from Relex 2011 into Windchill Risk and Reliability 12.0.1.0.

Any LDAP data in the Excel file is ignored. After completing the following procedure, you must specify LDAP settings and insert LDAP users and groups in your new system. For more information, see LDAP How-Tos. Additionally, if a Licenses per Group report is included in the Excel file, the license information in it is not imported into the new installation.
