Configuring the Administrator Application
You will now configure Windchill Risk and Reliability to integrate with Windchill Risk and Reliability.
1. Start the Administrator application using either of the standard Windows methods:
Double-click the shortcut to Windchill Risk and Reliability 12.0.0.0 Administrator on your Windows desktop.
From the Windows Start menu, select [All] Programs > Windchill Risk and Reliability 12.0.0.0 > Windchill Risk and Reliability 12.0.0.0 Administrator.
The Log In to Administrator window opens.
2. Enter a user name and password with administrative privileges and click OK. The Administrator application starts.
3. Select Tools > Edit PTC Windchill Settings.
The PTC Windchill Settings window opens.
4. In the Server address field, enter the Windchill Risk and Reliability server address.
For example, with a server name of “icenterv01.ptc.com”, the server name would be: http://icenterv01.ptc.com/Windchill/
5. For User name, enter your Windchill Risk and Reliability user name.
6. In the Password field, enter your password.
7. Click Test Settings.
A window opens. If everything is set up correctly, the message indicates that you are successfully connected. If a problem is encountered, after you click OK to close this window, repeat steps 4 through 7, verifying that all information is specified correctly prior to clicking Test Settings.
8. Click OK to close the window.
9. Once you are connected, in the PTC Windchill Settings window, indicate whether you want to enable any change objects and then click OK.
10. Select Tools > Options. The Options window opens.
11. For General > Web server address, enter the address of the web server that hosts IIS (Internet Information Services). The format for this address is http://machine_name.
12. Close the Options window.
13. Select File > Exit to close the Administrator application.
If you open Windchill Risk and Reliability and create a new Project, you will now see the option for creating it from a Windchill Risk and Reliability product. For more information on using Windchill Risk and Reliability with Windchill Risk and Reliability, see the help for the desktop application.
