Performing a Poisson Calculation
You can use the General Statistics Calculator to compute the Poisson distribution and probability mass function.
1. If the General Statistics Calculator is not open, select > to open it.
2. In the navigation pane, click Poisson.
3. Under Parameters, do the following:
a. For Event quantity, enter the quantity of event occurrences in the continuum.
b. For Expected quantity, enter the expected or mean number of events for some interval in the continuum.
4. Click Calculate. The results for cumulative probability and probability of event quantity are shown in display-only fields under Results.
5. When finished, click Close.
