Finding the Best Fit Degradation Model for a Degradation Data Set
When performing degradation analysis in either the Weibull or ALT module, you can perform best fit degradation model analysis to find the model that best fits your data points.
1. In the LDA Navigator, select the degradation data set.
2. To open the Best Fit Degradation Model window, do one of the following:
Select LDA > Find Best Fit Degradation Model.
In the title bar of a Parameters pane, click the last button.
Find Best Fit Button
The Best Fit Degradation Model window opens. For more information, see Best Fit Degradation Model Analysis.
3. On the Analysis page, select the models to include in the analysis. All models are selected by default.
You can click Select All or Clear All to select or clear all models and then customize your selections from there.
4. Click Analyze. The Analysis page displays fit rankings for the selected models.
If a model with a better fit if found, a Change button and message are shown in the lower left corner of the page. You can view analysis processing results on the Details page.
5. To change to the model determined to have the best fit, on the Analysis page, click Change. The model selected for the data set is changed in the Weibull Parameters pane.
6. When finished, click Close.
7. To recalculate the data set after the model has been changed, in the title bar of a Parameters pane, click Calculate.
